Presser feet are the most important tools for anyone involved in sewing. Each one of them has a specific function and not using the right presser foot can make the process of making any garment difficult. In this post I am going to show you the most common presser feet that exist and how they are used.

In this picture of the sewing tutorial: quilting kangaroo you can see me using it in almost all the sewing process. To find out how to install it you should check the instruction manual of your sewing machine.

This is another one of my favorites and indispensable. If your sewing machine doesn’t come with this presser foot, you should go buy it right now! Trust me, sewing zippers without this presser foot is a complete headache.

Double towed padfoot roller. This is a type of static roller compactor with tamping legs. The name “goat’s foot” comes from the similarity to the action of a passing herd, whose legs penetrate the soil and compact it.
