As I start writing this test I can assure you that I don’t know if the Ford Fiesta ST is faster or less fast or more or less expensive than any of its rivals. And I don’t intend to check. So, the Fiesta ST’s recuperative ability is excellent, so does it feel like the kind of thrust that gets you in trouble? Not at all. Smoothness is the general tone; a forceful smoothness, of course, because between 1,800 and 5,000 rpm you always have at least 90 percent of the maximum torque under your right foot.
