1) From when does the domestic worker have to be formalized, what happens if the employee does not want to, what does the employer have to do, does there have to be a minimum number of hours of work per week to register with the BPS?

At present, no, because the insurance for accidents at work for which it was necessary to register in the State Insurance Bank is done in the BPS together with the registration in the same, the cost is paid by the employer. This action was achieved thanks to the Liga de Amas de Casa, which not only made it possible for the employee to carry out a single registration procedure, but also reduced the cost of the insurance as it was a proportional part of the salary and not a fixed amount for lower salaries, as it was until then.

These minimums can be reached by accumulation of services for several employers, in which case each one of them will contribute proportionally the Complementary Mutual Contribution (CCM). The employer also has the possibility of granting the benefit by assuming the payment of the Complementary Mutual Contribution (CCM).

Collection receipt bps

Martín Carrasco, lawyer and Labor Services Manager at PwC, conducted a webinar with Smart Talent in which he explained all the changes in labor regulations as of the health situation. We share with you the main questions and his answers.

In cases of multi-employment, in principle the worker is entitled to receive the subsidy paid by BPS, but this is determined according to the difference generated between the unemployment subsidy that would have corresponded to him if he had lost all his income minus the wages he keeps. It should be clarified that in order to receive the benefit, you must be suspended from the job that generates the most significant income. If it is one of the jobs with the lowest income (either because of less dedication or lower hourly value), you would not be entitled to receive the subsidy.

As of today, the requirements are the same as before this situation: there must have been a six-month contribution period within the previous 12 months. This is true for everyone, including foreign workers.
