The Professional Qualifications Agency of Aragon has among its objectives the function of establishing, in collaboration with the educational and labor authorities, a system for the recognition and accreditation of competences acquired throughout working life and by other non-formal means of training, in line with the National Catalog of Professional Qualifications.

Royal Decree 1224/2009, of July 17, 2009, establishes the recognition of professional competences acquired through work experience, for which the PEAC (Procedure for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Competences) was created. This procedure requires assessors and evaluators who must be trained in the procedure itself.

What does it take to be an evaluator?

To be a competent and reliable evaluator requires a set of competencies, which cannot be acquired only through accumulated experience or a good dose of enthusiasm, but requires professional training oriented to the development of such skills.

How to prove professional qualification?

Professional competences can be accredited through vocational training diplomas or Certificates of professionalism (Art. 8.1 Organic Law 5/2002). Vocational training diplomas are obtained by taking the intermediate or higher cycles of the educational system.
